3 Scenarios

They say that I judged that saving my own life would not be morally justified in this situation and it is admirably tough-minded. They say I employed the same reasoning in coming to this determination as I did when considered the case of the shipwrecked sailors: in neither instance that I think it morally justified to trade one life for three lives. The reason that I think sailors case is wrong is that it was a little too calculated, a little too self-serving, and ultimately a selfish act. I think that the result is accurate because that is what i really thought. I think that saving my life by killing other people is morally wrong to do. The sailor should have drawn the straw to see who will sacrifice, not killing the weakest one.
